Do I Need To See A Chiropractor?

How do I know if I need to see a Chiropractor?

It’s a common question that you may have asked yourself.  Our current theme atour downtown Toronto Chiropractic office is “Who do you know who needs to see a chiropractor?”.  The majority of our patients can answer this question. One of our primary focuses at our chiropractic clinic is educating our patients on chiropractic care and why it is important to their health!

So how do you know if you need to see a chiropractor?  There are many reasons to see a chiropractor. Hopefully I can give you an understanding on why you may need to see a chiropractor.

A chiropractor’s main area of expertise is your spine.  We study the spine extensively in school including it’s anatomy, biomechanics, pathologies and its associated radiology.  Your spine is very important and needs to be taken care of to allow you to live an excellent quality of life!

Any pain in your lower back, mid back, or neck, your first stop should be to a chiropractor. You need a proper examination of your spine and any associated x-rays if necessary.  This will be the first step to getting rid of your lower back pain, mid back pain or neck pain.  After the chiropractic initial exam,  a chiropractor can give you the best recommendations to get you better.

Any pain in your body whether it’s knee pain, elbow pain, wrist pain, foot pain should be checked by a chiropractor.  One of the areas that we excel in at our chiropractic clinic in downtown Toronto is working on the extremities to correct any underlying issues.

One of the most common issues our patients have is sleeping problems.  The most common thing that our patients report back early on in treatment is that they sleep better and feel more rested in the morning.  Consider giving a chiropractor a call to see if they can your sleeping issues.

Related to sleeping, fatigue is another common complaint that improves for a lot of our patients early on in care.  Several factors can play a role in this, poor sleeping as we mentioned earlier can be a big factor for many.  Stress on your nervous system can cause you to lose sleep. Chronic or acute pain causes your body to burn extra calories and cause you to become fatigued.

Poor posture.  Perhaps one of the most common complaints patients have reported as a result of working from home during the pandemic.  Bad ergonomics, lack of movement and exercise can create spinal misalignments and can commonly be seen in bad posture.  A main technique that we use at our downtown chiropractic clinic is Chiropractic Biophysics.  This technique focuses on improving and correcting your posture and is highly effective!

Hopefully this helps you in your search for a chiropractor.  If you need a chiropractor and live or work in downtown Toronto, please give us a call at 416-504-8880 or email us at hannikainenchiropractic@gmail.com.
