How to take care of your spine in 2020! How to live pain free all year!

Resolution season is once again upon us here in downtown Toronto. At our chiropractic clinic I have been asking patients what their resolutions for 2020 are, and the consistent trend that I have been hearing is that people prefer to set goals and targets vs creating a New Years resolution.
This type of thinking makes me happy and demonstrates just how awesome our patients truly are!
Goal setting and achieving targets is the best way to take care of your spine in 2020. It will allow you to have a healthier spine and to live pain free the whole year!
Your first step in getting a healthy spine is to have it properly assessed. This involves an extensive chiropractic examination of your spine and x-rays to get get a really good look at your spine. Think of this as your starting point, it gives you a true sense of what type of shape your spine is in and how much work you will need to get it healthy!
Your next step is to sit down with you chiropractor and have them create a customized care schedule for your spine to return it to a healthy state. This should involve realistic targets and a carefully laid out plan of corrective care with chiropractic care and home exercises to get you the best results. There should be frequent progress examinations to monitor if you are on track to achieving your goals and what would need to be changed or modified to help you achieve your goal. Lastly, there should be a follow up towards the end of your care to see if you achieved your goal.
To help you succeed in your chiropractic care that you should follow to get the best possible results.
The first one is that you need to be committed to achieving your goals. If you don’t have that you won’t make a lot of progress so you need to be committed to getting better.
The next tip is you need to give it 100%. This is the way life works, if you give something 100% you do great, if you give it 20% you know what you get out of it…20%.
The last tip is to stay consistent. This is a huge tip, the more consistent you are the better the results you are going to get with your chiropractic care.
I wish you all the best with your spinal health goals and that you can live pain free throughout all of 2020!
